Camp Mograph Zine: Chicago
Client: Camp Mograph
DESIGN, LAYOUT, PRINT
This was my second Camp Mograph Zine design project of 2024. The first was for Brisbane in June, and this one came around for Chicago in September. The Chicago event was a celebration of the 5th iteration of Camp Mograph. The theme was a throwback to 8-bit computers and retro gaming.
I led the design of the zine, creating layouts, backgrounds, and frames, as well as briefing and compiling the work of collaborators who submitted content for publication. It was a delight to set the tone for camp with the bold cover design and welcome page, and a unique challenge creating elements in 8-bit style. Fonts were researched and selected to evoke early operating systems and low-fi displays.
The Zine is a collaborative effort, featuring submissions from the workshop hosts, speakers, and sponsors, as well as essential information from the Camp Directors. It contains workshop advertisements, a detailed event schedule, a map of the campgrounds, and code of conduct information, along with bar menus, sponsor (often spoof) ads, and fun little tidbits for the campers to enjoy.
Tools used: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.

But wait, there's more...
