Each year, attendees at Camp Mograph receive a swag bag upon checking in to the event, and one of the most important items included inside is the Zine. More than just a fun community project, it's the handbook and guide that they will refer to throughout the event.
The Zine is a collaborative effort, featuring submissions from the workshop hosts, speakers, and sponsors, as well as essential information from the Camp Directors. It contains workshop advertisements, a detailed event schedule, a map of the campgrounds, and code of conduct information, along with bar menus, sponsor (often spoof) ads, and fun little tidbits for the campers to enjoy.
My role was to lead the design of the Zine, while also seeking and guiding content submissions from collaborators. The theme for this camp was "Camp Camp" - a nod to the nostalgia of summer camps depicted in movies, featuring campfire stories and a classic Field Guide style for the zine. Warm, notasilgic colors were used, with rustic, friendly fonts.
Tools used: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
